About Quiet Luxury Brands

Quiet Luxury Brands is an independent guide to understated luxury: a database of 40 logo-free brands, honest alternatives at every price, and the Quiet Luxury Index.

How do we choose brands?

A brand is included if it does not rely on visible logos, uses materials that justify its price, and designs for longevity. We include a few brands that fail the restraint test (and score them accordingly) because readers ask about them.

How are brands scored?

Every brand is scored from 1 to 5 on restraint, materials, craft, longevity and value. The weighted total is the Quiet Luxury Index score. Scores are editorial judgements based on materials and composition data, manufacturing information, brand history and owner reports. The full methodology is public.

How is the site funded?
